Wings need to double down and get 2 in a row. A win tonight will go far in elevating their psyches to the confident level to allow them to be more competitive. They have less talent but if they work harder and have a "don't give up" attitude, they can win.

Here we are again. Have to put another loss behind us and come out charging again. Don't get caught looking forward to the three versus TBL.

Duclair doesn't have a goal yet, but I'm sure they'll come; just as the door opened for Huby. I like Duclair's speed and puck handling. He can carry the puck all around the o-zone and get defenders following him around. This opens the door for Barkov, Verghaeghe, and whoever is on defense with them. He is a defense-disruptor; another role the Panthers needed.

I was disappointed (of course) with Yandle's two critical turnovers that led to goals. You can't win when Yandle gives up 2 and the Panthers can only score 1. He just has to play smarter; at least he didn't give up a penalty this game. I lost track of how many times he iced the puck through a poor stretch pass; that's starting to get old now too. I continue to be disappointed that Yandle even plays in the 3rd period when the Cats are not on the PP.

Unfortunately, that might have been necessary because of Ekblad's penalty. I don't mind Ekblad stepping for a fight, but that was a bad tradeoff and we lost him for 7 (seven!) minutes. In a game where the Panthers are chasing and trying to claw their way back into the game, that wasn't a smart move either. As I recall, Ekblad's penalty put us at 4-on-4 rather than a Panther power play.

Sure, Greiss had a big game and deserved the win, but he had some major assists from Panthers' mental vacations. It's too bad because the offensive effort was there.

When games are tight, as all these divisional games will be this year, we can't afford to tip the scales against us with dumb mistakes and mental errors.

Go Panthers!

Goes without saying gotta have this tonight. 16% of the season done a loss to detroit hurt badly gotta take at least one from tb preferably two but wouldnt hold my breath. Also 16% done the season lets crunch some numbers dookie is still on pace for 0 goals. If we werent so god awful at puck retrieval with the other teams goalie pulled id say he could break the goose egg with an empty netter his specialty

3-0-1 heading into tonight. Not too shabby. I agree on the contract - always will.

Good game thus far. Intensity on both sides.

I think Bob got caught anticipating the centering pass and was surprised by the shot he flubbed. He really bounced back from the terrible first (only) goal he let past him. Bob was the difference in the game, Wings really took it to them in the third.
The Big guns are coming to town next. Go Panthers!!
